A warming digestive formulation that will stimulate digestion and combat digestive issues that are caused by suboptimal digestive function.

The bitter compounds such as those found in citrus peel bind onto the bitter taste receptors that are found throughout our digestive tract, and stimulate the production of digestive juices (e.g. saliva, stomach acid, pancreatic enzymes and bile), which all work in concert to optimally break down and digest your food.

Stress, western diets rich in oils, sweet and damp foods (and lacking in sour and bitter foods), food intolerances and leaky gut can all lead to digestive function becoming comprised, and the subsequent development of digestive symptoms such as belching, bloating, gas, undigested food in stool, constipation/ diarrhoea, or gut pain.

This digestive formulation is warming in nature, helping to stoke the digestive fire we all need for proper and efficient digestive function.

Whilst the bitter aspects of the citrus peel work to stimulate digestion, ginger and fennel are common carminative herbs which help to calm and soothe digestive symptoms such as bloating and wind.

This product is great for those that have a sluggish, cold, slow digestive system, needing some enlivening and waking up. This may present as bloating, wind, oily stools, undigested food in the stool, slow transit time, or constipation.

Also great for those that love licorice, due to the aniseed flavour of the fennel!
