Under the Olive Tree - Email Meeting Place

There’s a beautiful olive tree on our property.

It’s out and up the back, and looks out over much of the yard.

My medicinal herb garden lives underneath it.

Mum has hung charms in the tree, sat a buddha statue at its roots, and had set up a meditation space just next to it.

If you came over for a tea, I might suggest we head out to the back yard, mugs in hand, and wander up to the herb garden. You’d skirt Olives branches as you walk around the garden beds, and I’d I chat away on how the plants are going, and what challenges or wins the garden is gifting me.

I’d point out the Olive tree, and tell you this was the tree my Olive tincture came from last winter. How I harvested her leaves during a misty winter rain, and her medicine has headed out beyond these doors, others now enjoying its vitality & wisdom too.

Maybe we’d pull up a patch of grass and chat for a bit, a weaving thread between us, stretching as the minutes slip away, talking all that's on our hearts till they’ve emptied. Olive, Mandarin, Lime, Thyme, Tulsi and Yarrow all witnessing our words, as we do for each other.

I spend a lot of time under this olive tree, which is inextricably linked to me spending time in nature, to tending to my plants, medicine making, to my mind going still, drifting off, calming down, or getting inspired.

So here, this space, is our virtual meeting place; under the olive tree.

It’s a semi-regular roving email letter to you, covering my current musing or dreaming on topics like Earth connection, nature, cycles, health, illness, the (problematic) wellness industry, sustainable herbalism, medicine making, or reflections from attempting to live a life as open to it 'all' as possible.

Maybe it's more newsletter style; catching you up on my world, or, invitations to give you my intuitive insights or reflections, a collection of images, prose, links to what I’ve been loving, articles, audio journeys, herbal info, early access or special offers to apothecary items or education events - whatever comes to be on the day.

Conversations had with like minded friends, Under the Olive Tree.

Join me below, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us,
